Our Areca Palm Leaf products are manufactured from fallen dry sheaths of Betel Nut trees which are grown predominantly in the Southern India for the betel nuts. The aromatic properties of these palm leaf sheaths make some South Indian rice dishes taste special when packed in them.
RAW MATERIAL

The plates are made from the fallen leaf sheaths of Areca nut trees which is one of the Palm family. The fallen leaf sheath would be burnt or left to biodegrade on its own if not collected and converted into these trendy dinnerware.
No trees are cut in the process and hence it is a totally renewable and sustainable raw material source

7-STAGE IN-PROCESS QUALITY CHECK
The Quality of the product is ensured at each and every stage of the production process and the good products are only selected. Filtering occurs during the below process operations
PRODUCT TESTING FOR FOOD CONTACT
MICROBIOLOGICAL TESTING
These tests are conducted to ascertain the presence of fungus, E.coli, and assessment of plate count.
The results show the Areca Palm leaf products have no presence of E.coli and below deductible level of other micro-organisms and safe for food contact.
HEAVY METALS TESTING
These tests are carried out in order to find the presence of heavy metals in the Palm Leaf products after production like Iron, Lead, Copper, Zinc, and Aluminium Phosphide.
The results show that the heavy metal present in the products is below detectable level and within in limited and safe for food contact.
SENSORY & MIGRATION TESTING
These tests are for done in order to assess the products migration into the food served in it
The results show that the Palm leaf products passes the test and OK for food contact both dry and liquid foods, It passes EC No. 1935/2004 Clause
BIODEGRADABILITY AND COMPOSTABILITY TESTING
The Areca leaf products passes the biodegradability and Compostability testing | ASTM D6868-03, ASTM D6400-04, ASTM D5988-03, ASTM D5338-98
The above testing proves the Areca Palm leaf product is completely biodegradable and Compostable in nature and also in controlled environment.
